The Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board offers a multitude of opportunities to enjoy and explore the outdoors. Established in 1958, we now manage 35 natural areas that provide a wide variety of exciting recreational opportunities for citizens of North Iowa. In addition, the Lime Creek Nature Center offers quality conservation education and outdoor learning programming for all ages.   • GREENBELT ROAD OPEN

  • Lime Creek Trails Open

    Effective May 18, 2018 the Lime Creek Conservation Area trails will be open to bike and horse use.

  • Prairie Land Trail Opening

    Cerro Gordo County Conservation completed six miles of the Prairie Land Trail in the Fall of 2017. This six mile section of trail is now ready for public use.
