The Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board offers a multitude of opportunities to enjoy and explore the outdoors. Established in 1958, we now manage 35 natural areas that provide a wide variety of exciting recreational opportunities for citizens of North Iowa. In addition, the Lime Creek Nature Center offers quality conservation education and outdoor learning programming for all ages.   • Annual Election of Conservation Board Officers

    Election of officers for the 2018 year was held during the regular Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board meeting on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

  • Lime Creek Conservation Area Trails Closed

    Effective immediately, Lime Creek Conservation Area trails will be closed to all horses and non-snow bikes for the remainder of the winter/ski season. Trails will reopen to in the spring of 2018.

    The courtesy dock at Bluebill Wildlife Area has been removed for the season.
