The Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board offers a multitude of opportunities to enjoy and explore the outdoors. Established in 1958, we now manage 35 natural areas that provide a wide variety of exciting recreational opportunities for citizens of North Iowa. In addition, the Lime Creek Nature Center offers quality conservation education and outdoor learning programming for all ages. Lime Creek Conservation Area Trails Closed
Effective immediately, Lime Creek Conservation Area trails will be closed to all horses and non-snow bikes for the remainder of the winter/ski season. Trails will reopen to horses and all types of bikes in the spring of 2019.

Wilkinson and Shell Rock River Greenbelt Closing
Wilkinson Pioneer Park Greenbelt and the Shell Rock River Greenbelt extending from 295th Street to county road B30 will officially close to vehicle traffic for the season effective Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Trolley Trail Closing
Effective immediately, the Trolley Trail located between Mason City and Clear Lake along county road B-35 is officially closed for the season.
